Recruitment and Selection:
The merit list for the whole Circle shall be prepared in respect of all categories of posts put together. The whole recruitment and selection process is carried out with utmost regard to maintain secrecy and confidentiality so as to ensure that the principle of merit is followed. A candidate shall be disqualified for appointment, if he himself / she herself or through relations or friends or any others has canvassed or endeavored to enlist for his candidature, extraneous support, whether from official or non-official sources for appointment to this service.

No weightage for marks secured by the Applicants in Matriculation or ITI will be given while preparing the Merit Lists. The selection of candidates for appointment will be made 100% on written examination. Only those candidates who qualify in the written examination by being ranked high, community wise will be called for verification of Original Certificates.
The minimum qualifying marks to be obtained in each part of the Aptitude Test is prescribed as under:
Parts A and B, Part-C (Two segments) – Minimum 10 marks for OC, 8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC candidates in each part/ segment.
40% marks for OC, 33 marks for SC/ST and 37 marks for OBC candidate in aggregate.
Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle MTS Exam Pattern
- The test will be of objective type with multiple-choice questions with only one answer being correct among the four alternatives suggested. Aptitude Test will be comprising four parts (Part A, B, C (I) & C (II)). The duration of the Aptitude Test will be for 2 hours (120 minutes).
- The written test comprising of 100 marks consisting of 100 Multiple choice questions and each question is carrying “One” Mark.
- There is no negative marking.
Aptitude Test with a total 100 maximum marks covering the following subjects/ topics:
General Knowledge: 25 Marks – 25 Questions
Mathematics: 25 Marks – 25 Questions
English language: 25 Marks – 25 Questions
Regional Language: 25 Marks – 25 Questions
Multi Tasking Staff Syllabus
General Knowledge:
Indian Geography, Freedom struggle, Culture and Sports, General Polity and Constitution of India, Indian Economy, General science, Current affairs and Reasoning & Analytical ability of tenth standard.
Mathematics:
Number systems, Decimals and Fractions, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Profit and loss, Simple interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & work, and Time & distance.
English:
Articles, Prepositions, Conjuctions, Tenses, Verbs, Synonyms & Antonyms, Vocabulary, Sentence structure, Proverbs, Phrases& question from a small unseen passage.
