Total No.of Vacancies: 110 Posts
Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.100/ as examination fee (Female/ SC/ST/PH Candidates are exempted from the payment of fee). There will be a separate exam fee for candidates those who qualified in preliminary exam to appear for Main Examination.
UPSC IFS Examination 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limits: Candidates age must be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 32 years. Age relaxations applicable to the reserved category candidates as per the norms.
Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from the recognized universities.
UPSC IFS Exam Pattern
The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages:
- Civil Services Preliminary Examination consists of Objective type questions for shortlist of candidates for the Indian Forest Service IFS Main Examination; and
- Indian Forest Service Main Examination consists both Written Test and Interview for the final selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
- There will be a Negative marking for the Wrong Answer in Objective Multiple Choice Questions.
