Essential Qualification Requirement (EQR):
|Flying Branch||Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent have passed Math and Physics at 10+2 level or BE / B Tech degree.||20 to 24 years|
Ground Duty (Technical)
|Minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four year graduation / integrated post graduation Qualification in Engineering / Technology.||20 to 26 year|
|Ground Duty Branches||Administration
|Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent|

Scheme of AFCAT
The AFCAT Question Paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.
Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:-
(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.
(b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.
(c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.
(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

How to apply: Candidates can apply online only through the IAF Career website: www.careerairforce.nic.in. The online application can be filled up from 03.06.2017 to 29.06.2017. No other means of application will be accepted. Candidate need to click on “CANDIDATE LOGIN” in the career website of IAF www.careerairforce.nic.in and follow the instructions. Candidate advised to note down Registration number for future correspondence.
